About us
We expanded and moved LMTP to Detroit on Livernois Avenue near Live 6 district. Our new facility is an absolute gem decked out with plush décor, surrounded by a gated courtyard, and on-site parking.
Our upgraded model consists of a combination of inclusive Therapeutic, Spa and Lymphatic services, on-site group services, mobile services, and Personal Care retail.

The 1 Hour massage is designed to effectively relieve pain and help you relax and distress.
Your therapist will devote 25-35 minutes to specific areas of tension and the remaining time to the rest of your body. Customized therapeutic enhancements are provided at no extra cost like advanced techniques, hot stones, and aromatherapy to ensure you have the best experience.
The 90-minute massage is perfect for individuals experiencing pain in multiple areas. During this session, your therapist will have sufficient time to thoroughly address your areas of concern.
The therapist dedicates 40 to 50 minutes to focus on your back and the specific areas of discomfort and the remaining time will be used to address the rest of your body.Our services are personalized and include therapeutic enhancements at no additional cost. We utilize advanced techniques, hot stone therapy, and aromatherapy, plus more, to ensure maximum relief and relaxation.

About the Owner
I am J’nai Porter LMT, MLD-CLT, the founder, Operations Manager, and Lead Massage Therapist of Loose Massage Therapy Plus. I am proud to serve the Detroit Metropolitan community for 20 years and have excelled as a highly skilled, muscle-melting entrepreneur. Driven by the desire to be an integral part of my daughter’s upbringing, I started my business at the young age of 22. I became the sole proprietor of J. Porter Services in 2004, launching community-focused therapeutic massage services.
I gained vital experience renting space from women-owned massage small businesses and in 2008, I graduated from Wayne State University with a BA in Sociology and Peace & Conflict Studies. I honed my experience and research skills to shape my business start-up and in 2010, I founded Loose Massage Therapy Plus to expand, confront industry disparities, and establish a benchmark for service excellence.
I have continually advanced my education to ensure that LMTP remains customer-driven and competitive. My mission is to spread the message that “Feeling Better” is within reach and my goals are to empower customers with resources that help them to facilitate the outcome. I have taken my insights and authored two self-help books, My Wish List, A Guided Journal to New Beginnings, and Youth Edition, to support my customer’s Personal Care maintenance on and off the massage table.
The journey to “Help Massage Revive Detroit” has been a long road filled with overcoming challenges and achieving great successes. Opening LMTP Detroit is a dream come true and we are excited to present our new offerings to the community.
